Privately-owned land is home to much of our critical biodiversity and can often form an important part of corridors and expanding protection within landscapes. However, stewarding biodiversity is often not the expertise or focus of private landowners, so they need support and guidance.
We support landowners to prioritise invasive clearing and oversee the clearing, with either our own crew or qualified contractors. We track daily progress with GPS watches and can share detailed maps. We also help to assess biodiversity on the site and protection options, as well as implement longer-term invasive and fire management planning.
Our current focus is on private landowners within the corridor from the Riviersonderend mountains to the Kleinriviersberg.
